I was going to make this a poll, but there are too many I haven't seen, and I wouldn't want to omit a good one.
So, what is the best hockey movie ever?
And has anyone seen "The Rocket"? I love Maurice Richard, but have yet to see this movie, wondering if there is anyone with a review on here for me? |

Thanks PuckNuts. I have seen both, and both are quite good. Net Worth is an excellent movie, and an interesting exploration of what the "oldtimes" had to go through to get a little respect... and a pension!
Thanks for reminding me of that, I'd like to see it again. |

Net Worth, it is about the struggle to create a union for the players, and access to pension money...I think it was made in the mid 90's.

Slapshot is definetely the best hockey movie ever. The Rocket is probably second.

I saw Youngblood on the weekend again. I hadn't seen that since it was out in the theatres way back. It is hilarious, not in a good way though. Rob Lowe is a not a believable hockey player and he obviously can't skate. It's one thing to not be able to skate in a comedy (a la Slapshot) but in a drama it is full on cheese. |

I never got around to buying the movie and I still haven't seen it. That's why it's not first on my list. I really want to see it though, I gotta go to Best Buy this weekend... |

I think the best movie is Slapshot or The Rocket. But I remember when I watched the Ducks movies. I sat at the end of my couch and yelled "GO DUCKS GO!!!!!". Those movies were great.

I also watcehd "The Rocket". It was a very good movie. Great fight seen and the content itself is hilarious plus the good hockey and story. |

The Rocket is a great movie! Actually, this site was doing a promotion and sent me two free passes to see a pre screening for it. I would recommend it to anyone. Probably ranks right behind Slapshot on my all time list. |
