Posted - 04/11/2010 : 18:12:13 What a finish to the sesaon by Sidney Crosby! 9 points in his last 2 games! I watched the 1st & 3rd periods (plus OT) of this evenings game & Sidney was all over the place. The best i've ever seen him play.
Henrik Sedin takes the Art Ross...Crosby & Stamkos tie for the Richard. |

Posted - 04/11/2010 : 15:17:41 I may have spoke too soon...Crosby has put together another 4 point game today, which includes his 50th & 51st goals. Both games are late in the 2nd. |

Posted - 04/10/2010 : 09:38:08 Stamkos is still a kid and was one of the hottest players the second half of last year and has continued that on for all of this season. Eric Staal is a one man show and that fact that he gets 80 points a season is unreal. Stamkos plays with St.Louis Malone & Lecalvier all guys who can put up numbers your crazy if you think this guys point production is goin to drop off. He will compete for the Rocket every year he is healthy his quick release and shot will allow him to do so. He won't pass Ovechkin or Crosby point wise as he does posess the speed to take over the game that both those players posess. However, he will be a solid player for yrs to come as TB can only get better with all the low draft picks they continue to get. |

Posted - 04/10/2010 : 08:58:41 St. Louis is the man. He's the paragon of consistency. I'll believe he WON'T get 80ish points when he actually has a bad season. I pick him every year and he always comes through for me. He's getting old, but he's not 'old' yet. I'd say he's good for another 3 years minimum at a PPG pace.
Stamkos will also likely have a great year next year, although I too predict a slight drop off - more ala Eric Staal than Jeff Carter. I'd say 78 points for him next year. Nothing shabby! |

Posted - 04/09/2010 : 12:23:50 Stamkos has had a phenomenal year, similar to Carter's from last year. I think repeating is possible but unlikely. I'd say all the tools are there but he'll likely come back to the high 70 to high 80 pt range next year.
This is a career year. And he hasn't proven yet that he can sustain this level in the long term. He has to get a few 90 pt seasons in a row to make me think he's a perenial top 5 guy. |
