I'm starting this thread about an hour after game 4 of the Van/LA series, which gets my vote and got me thinking about this thread. It was a wild back and forth affair, lots of hits, lots of goals, good saves at both ends, and drama galore. 5 or 6 lead changes, and the most exciting 3rd period I've seen in a long time.
Oh, and the Canucks won |

Posted - 04/23/2010 : 05:08:16 Ottawa vs. Pittsburgh game 5 - TRIPLE OT - great end to end action and some very good goaltending - is the new winner for me.
'Nucks - Kings Game 4 was pretty good too as was Habs-Caps Game 2 (despite the reffing).
I haven't really watched enough of the Bruins-Sabres series to make any judgements there.

Posted - 04/22/2010 : 21:46:14 Boston/Buffalo, no doubt, game 4 was awesome, the goaltending is so good.........wonder if they can trade Thomas now........I'm a big Bruins fan, and figured they had a shot, but they are playing the TEAM game very well |

Posted - 04/22/2010 : 12:26:56 I didn't see game 4 of Van/LA, but I will give my vote to Pitt/Ottawa game 4. 8 goals in the second period; a very entertaining game it was.
Did you hear about the retired proctologist? He spent 40 years saying "what's a place like this doing in a girl like you?" |

Yeah, that is a close second for sure, although what probably made the game so interesting was the bad officiating. Game 2/3/4 in the MTL/WSH series have been very entertaining, although I've been dissapointed in the results.
I've been generally impressed with the high scores in the playoffs this year - in years past it would be rare to see 5/6/7 goals scored in a game, but not this year. Definitely makes it more interesting. |

Posted - 04/22/2010 : 08:24:29 Rask and Miller put on an amazing goalie duel last night. My rankings based on the games I've seen:
1. BOS/BUF game 4 2. WSH/MTL game 2 3. DET/PHX game 1 4. DET/PHX game 4
Overall best series thus far is a tie for me between BOS/BUF and DET/PHX
The arena wall in chicago should be credited with a goal. |

Posted - 04/22/2010 : 06:57:22 Buffalo / Boston a yawn? I thought this has been one of the best series so far and I have no interest in either team. These guys are taking huge runs at each other throwin down the mits wearing their hearts on their sleves and to top it all off great goaltending. At least that is what im seeing. |

A couple of the Pittsburgh/Ottawa games have come a close second, pretty entertaining hockey in the east I have to say. Not to take anything away from the west - I'd say Colorado/SJ has been pretty goodm, while Buffalo/Boston has been a yawn - but the tighter defence and less dangling makes for a slightly less exciting experience, and the Nashvill/Chicago series has disappointed.

Posted - 04/22/2010 : 00:07:27 it is possible Alex, but i'd still have to grudgingly admit that it was a good game. But certainly the canucks winning added to the Pile Of Awesome that was game 4. 5pts for the Sedins in the 3rd period alone! |

Posted - 04/22/2010 : 00:02:34 Yeah dude, i'd have to agree, but i'll admit, i've not seen as much of ANY series as i'd prefer to! Until the 3rd tonight, the Montreal / Washington game was pretty good! But yeah, the Van / LA game tonight was pretty good and i didn't even get to see the entire game!
Of course, i might be biased? If we'd lost, it'd prob be the worst game yet? |
