if you played in the NHL....what number would you want and why?

i would pick 2 numbers: 13 because it resembles bieng unlucky and i want to brake that myth
and number 28 because that is Steve Rucchin's number and he is my second fav. player and it is also alexander semin's number that IS my favourite player

I would be 6. That was my number in my first year of hockey and I have had almost every year since. (The other 2 numbers I have had was 10 and 20}

i've swapped a lot of numbers over the years, for high school and ball hockey I followed the great ones footsteps and wore 99... and yes, i heard about it from everyone haha which was half the fun.. but i'd have to say #24 the number i'd choose..... classy number, and a case of beer all rolled into one

Take care comb your hair

I have been playing hockey for many years now, when I wear the number 11, I seem to have a great season, or game. My favorite number is 18 but I do not do as well in that number.

However, if I got to the NHL, I'd beg and plead to be 00. Now that would stand out!

Oops, that was me!

I'd take 87 to piss sid off hahahaha....it's not his career is so historical yet that he can "call a number"......

PS, mik, I like that pi idea hahahahahahah
I'd take 'e' though, that number is just as important as pi...typically pi and "e" go hand in hand in complex analysis........but i digress.

I'd be 43. The answer to everything. (Reference from hitchikers guide to the universe)

True I could do that, that was my fourth pick, but i'm not gonna put my 4 favorite numbers on.

And who knows, who cares why 1CF is 19 and born in 94 and why he is changing his password.

I would be number 8, I've always been number 8 in every sport I do and Selanne is one of my favorite players, for my second choice I would probably be number 33 for Patrick Roy and Zdeno Chara. And if I still couldn't get that number i would be 9 for Paul Kariya.

i would either take 93 because it's rarely worn and the year i was born or 83 because it is also rarely worn and Hemsky is one of my favorite players.

P.S i was number 16 in minor hockey
Canucks Man Posted - 01/31/2007 : 13:15:16
I would pick number 16 its always been my number, if i played for the canucks i would choose number 21 becuse linden has 16 and it probably will be retired and because that was the number i had to were in lacrosse last year(are jersey set came with no #16, that ticked me off)

CANUCKS RULE!!

Pi...just kidding

I'd say 11..that was Malkin's original number before coming to the NHL and he's one of my favorite players. It's also Saku Koivu's number, and he's one of my favorites too. Or maybe 89, since I was born in 1989.
bablaboushka Posted - 01/31/2007 : 10:16:27
Number 10. It has always been my number since I left playing net. I chose it for Pavel Bure who was my favorite player at the time. It's pretty cool how Patrick Marleau who is my current favorite player wore #10 at the All-Star game because Rolston had 12. I wish I could get my hands on that jersey.

Seen as 10 would probably be taken already, my backup would be 98. It was the year I played on the provincial elite team, against guys like Jonathan Toews. Plus it's just a cool, rarely-worn number.
