Please stop looking dumb and replying to a 2 year old post as if everyone posted now. foolpittier obviously posted to say how s***ty of a year Leino is having this year (even before his injury) In just 2 years he's gone from being the next big thing to the next big stink. And your gonna reply as if everything here was posted this year? thanks for the entertainment at least guest4465.... you know who you are.

As good as Ville Leino has been this season?

Are you out of your mind? He's gotten 10 points in 29 games, and all of a sudden he's the next best thing?

this comment was posted in 2010 lol

A good year? The guy has 10 points in 29 games, not very good, if you ask me

indeed, they be fine with out him. it's a nice problem they got there in philly... having to many good players, they could ues another solid blueliner.

Unfortunately, as a flyers fan, I can't see how we can possibly keep this guy. He is the real deal and is due for a huge raise!
I do think they will let Zherdev walk. He is scoring some goals but very one dimensional....especially for the money...but it still won't be enough.
Think this may be similar to Chicago....win it this year, keep the core and fill in the pieces!
foolpittier Posted - 12/15/2010 : 12:24:29
i'd atleast try and unload someone.... danny briere???
Guest4139 Posted - 12/14/2010 : 19:46:18
i hope he keeps it up, i took him in my pool
nuxfan Posted - 12/14/2010 : 19:24:19
do you think Leino is going to sign for 2M a year? Not if he keeps going this season the way he has.
foolpittier Posted - 12/14/2010 : 18:19:07
isee what your saying, but lets say they drop zherdev's 2 mill plus another ufa. they could nodoubt sign him, i take leino over zherdev.
Beans15 Posted - 12/14/2010 : 17:35:47
The point is not if you would take him over one of those guys, it's that all 6 of those guys(plus Leino makes 7) have roster spots today.

If Philly needs to fill 7 spots with about $5 million, you are looking at league minimum for all those spots (a la Chicago this season).

I am sure they want to keep him, but without a deal to drop some cap, I can't see how they can.
foolpittier Posted - 12/14/2010 : 17:21:33

This does not include Zherdev, O'Donnell, Boucher(all UFA's) and Carcillo, Nodl, or Powe (all RFA's).

I see him not being a Flyer next year.

theres still a slight chance they may sign him, if they drop some of the guys above, i'd take him over everyone there.
Beans15 Posted - 12/13/2010 : 21:24:04
Economics again. Philly is only $2 million under the cap with just 18 players signed next season. Even with a potential increase to about $61 million next season, Philly will have only about $5 million to sign at least 5 players. Actually, unless they want to be like Jersey and benching 16 skaters due to injuries they will likely have to sign 7-8 players.

This does not include Zherdev, O'Donnell, Boucher(all UFA's) and Carcillo, Nodl, or Powe (all RFA's).

I think Philly might be waiting to see a more firm cap number for next season before the committ the cash. There is also talks among GM's that 1 year deals will be plentiful next season with the CBA set to expire in 2012. No one will want to committ to too much until they understand the structure of the cap as there is a very high chance it will change.

I see him not being a Flyer next year.

i heard that philly's contract offer isnt even close, what did they offer and what does he want?
foolpittier Posted - 12/09/2010 : 02:00:06
to philly with big bert and w'ell take back leino
Mikey Boy Posted - 12/08/2010 : 21:30:35
now the wings need to trade Bertuzzi while he's valueable, and dump that contract so losing a top propect won't happen again.

I believe this guy has 80 point potential when healthy, i got him in the 10th round or later in both my pools. Him & Buff r the steals of the yr if you got them.
foolpittier Posted - 12/08/2010 : 02:24:58
very well.. non picks, the redwings had him but couldnt keep him due to cap room.
Guest0965 Posted - 12/07/2010 : 19:36:45
