Posted - 02/14/2011 : 06:01:05 Actually, since Gonchar left, I think the Pens have better offensive numbers from their D, Letang and Goligoski have been great. It's one of their strengths, not their weaknesses.
Crosby and Malkin being out is quite another thing.
It really depends on who they meet in the playoffs, as I can't see them falling totally out of the picture . . . but it is likely they fall to 6th or 7th, I'd think, and if they play Washington or Boston, I'd say it's lights out in the first round. But who knows how strong Crosby comes back for the playoffs? It all rests on his shoulders really . . .
