I think we should have thread where we can talk about any Hockey game going on before, during or after the game

SJS@ANA: i think the Sharks have to watch out for Teeemu Selanne because he 44G 41A and 85P in his career against the Sharks

I must say it's a dissappointing loss for Ottawa, but i'm glad to see Selanne finally raise the cup over his head!

~~~Let's Go Senators!!!!~~~
Can´t say I cared that much after The Wings where eliminated but good going Selanne it´s nice to see a finn not come in second place for a change.
I guess Anaheim is one of your favorite teams now Mik?
ANAHEIM WINS THE STANLEY CUP!!!!!
Well well, doesn't this look familiar: Let's see, the Sabres were down 3-1 and Ottawa kicked 'em out. The Senators are down 3-1 and Anaheim kicked 'em out. Taste of your own medicine, eh Ottawa?
semin-rules Posted - 06/06/2007 : 19:09:43
5-2 now!!! I guess it wasn't duck hunting season this year....
4-2 now!! (Dammit Alfredsson, stop scoring! )
What was with the Darth Vader music earlier in the game? LOL
Mikhailova Posted - 06/06/2007 : 18:35:39
Emery kicked the puck in his own net. Maybe this guy isn't so bad after all 3-1 Ducks!!! Ottawa looked terrible first period, they're gonna lose!!
June 6, 2007: D-Day's anniversary and the day the Ducks win their first ever Cup (hopefully)
Ottawa's gonna fight hard today, they don't want to lose the Cup, but they're most likely going to anyway. I'd be surprised if they came back and tied it 3-3, Anaheim's just too strong. And let's hope they get someone better to sing the anthems this time. That Morisette lady was awful.
I don't hate HIM, I mean even he admits that there are better, veteran leaders on the team, but it's his media attention that annoys the crap outta me. They're like "He played against Ottawa during the playoffs, let's talk to him about the finals". Uh, what about someone who's playing IN THE FINALS?? They would have better insight into the game since they're actually playing out there right now, but since they weren't given captaincy of their team for the sake of breaking a record by a slim margin, do they get to come in the studio? Ha.
Come on media, wake up. The Cup finals are on. Save the Crosby stuff for later.
If ypur gonna get someone not in the finals this year, get someone who knows like someone who played for the oilers or canes last year with experience
Hahaha nah I'm not angry, just in a heated debate in the Sid as Captain topic. In this topic, am I pissed at Ottawa? H-e-double hockey sticks yeah! Though most of it's ranting, not anger.
Ripley Posted - 06/05/2007 : 12:22:43
Mik, I've been away for a while and I'm catching up on some posts...you've been unusually angry lately. Everything ok? Trouble with exams? Summer job not going so well? Oh that's right, the Sabre's were knocked out by Ottawa! Just teasing
Mikhailova Posted - 06/05/2007 : 12:06:06
That's what I'm thinking (and hoping) too. The Cup in my home state, and the Sens crying on the benches. Nice
I´m also Cånädiön Posted - 06/05/2007 : 11:29:56
I would be surprised if ottawa comes back to make it 3-3, pleasantly surprised even but I doubt it will happen. I think Ducks win it all in front of the home audience on wednesday.
Oh wait, yes I do. Because Ottawa's refs were being blatantly biased as to try to get their team back in the series. That joke call on Beauchemin for tapping Neil with his stick, no penalty to Alfie for deliberately beaning Niedermayer with the puck, allowing a kicked-in goal...come on, they couldn't be more obvious if they tried. I love how it was so quiet in the stadium after the game ended. THAT'S WHAT YOU GET, THUGAWA!
Mikhailova Posted - 06/04/2007 : 20:05:38
YEAAAHHHH!! It's a 3-1 series! Back to Anaheim for what could be the final game of the season! One more Ducks, just one more!!
Alfie should've got a penalty, I dunno why the hell he didn't, but it doesn't really matter now since his team lost
freddyboy Posted - 06/04/2007 : 20:03:34
ducks wins it 3-2
McDonald 2g and an assist
joe is a god, if u dont agree....i dont care
freddyboy Posted - 06/04/2007 : 19:20:12
they (alfredson and niedemeyer) should have fight... I would enjoy see Alfie getting own
but Emery was weak on the 2nd goal and he was weak on many goals in the series
joe is a god, if u dont agree....i dont care
Mikhailova Posted - 06/04/2007 : 19:05:59
Did you see what Alfredsson just did? He looks up at the clock, sees there's only 5 seconds left, and instead of firing at the goal he shoots the puck right at Scott Niedermayer. It was a clear angle, the goal was straight ahead, Scott was off to the right. Alfie shot to the right. What a jerk. That was classless. What did Niedermayer ever do to him? The game's tied anyway, it's not like they're losing. If he doesn't get a penalty for that it will confirm in my mind that this ref is home-town. Man Alfredsson's just moving down on my least favorite list.
Wow..Alfredsson scores with .3 seconds left in the first. Man this guy is really getting on my nerves, lol!
Both teams look great tonight, this could be anybody's game.
Mikhailova Posted - 06/04/2007 : 17:30:22
What the crap was that call on Beauchemin for?? Neil was barely tapped and he went down like he was hit in head! That's embellishment with a capital E. For Pete's sake, are you a hockey player or an actor?? Yeah it's the Cup finals and players are gonna try to get penalties called, but the fact that the ref actually called that was bullcrap. You could see clearly the stick just tapped him.
Other teams have made their series 2-1 and there's none of this ridiculous blow-out about it. They're still behind for crying out loud, they haven't gained the lead or even tied it!! Yeah there should be an article about it and Sens fans should be proud and all, but to put this much drama into the news when they haven't really accomplished anything yet is a little pre-emptive. When Ottawa ties it, then I can understand it. One line said something like "Ottawa won't go down without a fight". Oh please, they didn't win on skill, they won on luck. Luck that the ref made a bad call in their favor, and luck that the Ducks happened to screw up and give them opportunities to score (like Pronger in his own net); they didn't create those opportunities themselves. Had everyone gone well for the Ducks and had the ref examined Alfie's goal a little closer, they would've won that game no question.
And all this "Ottawa is Canada's team, Anaheim is America's team" stuff is nonsense. The Olympics are about country vs. country, the NHL is about teams. It's silly to say a certain NHL team represents your country when a third of the players are from Europe.
Man I can't wait till game 4! Let's get rolling!
1. its the stanley cup thats why its all hyped
2. TSN is Canadian and knows almost all Canada wants senators to win.
3. I'm pretty sure "Ottawa won't go down without a fight" is completely right so.
4. Ottawa is Canada's team because they are from canada. mroe people care about where the teams from then how many players are canadian on it.
Oh yeah...thanks, I didn't even notice, lol
I kinda thought the Sens would win last night, but I still think the Ducks will take the next one (they almost had yesterday's), or if not then definitely the two back in Anaheim. When Ducks get angry, the bite. And when they bite, it hurts.
I´m also Cånädiön Posted - 06/03/2007 : 01:17:19
Mikhailova Posted - 06/02/2007 : 19:23:56
OK...obviously Ottawa's got a home-town ref. Alfredsson's goal should not have been called. That was a clear and obvious kicking motion. Rachunek's may have been debatable, here there was no question. But the ref allowed it. And then Pronger scores in his own net and the Sens take the lead. And earlier they scored a goal because Anaheim forgot to put all 5 players out on the ice, they only had 4. So, thus far, Ottawa is ahead by capitalizing on the other team's misfourtunes and by having a ref who either has sympathy for them or who has never seen a kicking case in his life. Ottawa should be losing 3-2 right now, but instead they're up 4-3. Next period, just wait, the Ducks are going to kick some butt. But even if they end up losing, it's no biggie, they're still ahead and they're strong and fast enough to win the next 2 and get the Cup. LET'S GO DUCKS!
One of the little pleasures of life is seeing Ray Emery looking behind him to see a puck in the net. I hope I'll get to see that at least two more times tonight
Mikhailova Posted - 06/02/2007 : 18:12:59
Ottawa will probably win at home, maybe once, maybe twice if they're lucky, but they're still gonna lose the series. Once they're back in Anaheim it's Duck turf again.
