Lappierre is 1 of the most exciting playoff players I have ever seen. He just scored the game winner!
In game 2 he offered Bergeron to bite his finger!
Last year with Montreal making faces at the camera!

He rocks!

I was one of the few that was sad to see him leave Montreal. I enjoyed the element he brought to the game, embarrassing at times as Beans said, but also entertaining. He made me laugh more often then he embarrassed me, but then again, I'm shameless.

My opinions are not very supported on this site for mainly good reasons, but Lapierre should be shown respect. He dives a bit no one likes that, but not as bad diving as most Boston players in this series. His taunts well you gotta love NHL trashtalkers. as for he wont drop the gloves, it is smart it draws the other guy in to getting a penalty because they are dumb. Lapierre is a cunning player with high ability levels, he does not play the game as a joke he takes it seriously (but has fun while doing it), unlike Avery.
As for Burrows im dissapointed in him this series, I don't think he actually bite bergeron but he might of. His diving is getting out of hand in this series though, in game 2 he held his ground and played better then most all stars do. Burrows the NHL should love you but this series does not show it!

Totally agree. He is a pest, a diver, an embellisher - he makes Burrows look like a saint. But he has also become a very effective energy player for the Canucks, and is centering the most effective line for the team in this finals. When he plays hockey, he is fast, ferocious, and can finish at the net. He has pretty good faceoff skills, and can be relied upon for light PK duty as well.

Given the loss of Malhotra, he has been integral in maintaining a very neccessary and effective 3rd line for the Canucks, and for that I am thankful. That being said, I don't think the Canucks will be gagging to get him back next year.

Way off He is not even close to being an exiting player maybe in the Olympics at the pool 10 meter event!! He's an effective checker and roll player I would not be amused sitting on the same bench with him and his bulls@#$

Completely agree. He's got speed to burn and has some skill to make him a quality player. However, this antics and lack of backing up his mouth when needed overshadows his play. At least to me. This is the kind of guy you love to hate, but also the kind of guy you would be embarrassed of (at times) when he plays on your team.

I am not a fan.

Lapierre is so exciting, you added an extra "p."

As far as him being "one of the most exciting playoff players ever," I think it's a bit of an emotional stretch.

If this is the first time you've watched the Stanley Cup Playoffs, I can understand someone putting him in the top twenty players as exciting players, but he wouldn't crack my top ten of these playoffs.

As far as being one of the most exciting playoff players of all time, I would rank Lapierre around 437th, just behind of Ken Linseman (who actually bit flesh), but ahead of Lee Fogolin, who was the recipient of the rat's bite!
