Posted - 06/26/2011 : 10:56:41 Maybe Washington thought they were getting Bolland. Bolland was a difference maker for Chicago and there was a noticable difference in that teams performance with him compared to without him. I don't see that same impact with Brower.
But, Washington needs a few guys like this who can muck it up, score dirty, and help win games they shouldn't win. Takes some off the pretty off Ovechkin, but what has that gotten the Caps anyway.

Posted - 06/25/2011 : 06:38:05 Brouwer for a first rounder, if I heard correctly? Seems like quite the overpayment, but yeah - Washington needed a guy like this for sure.
In the end, a great pick-up.
