But its hard to see stuff like that anymore, with the lack of need for an enforcer. Back in the day you had players protecting skilled players. Now there are rules protecting skilled players. Its not the same.
Almost all good fights are started in a fit of passion. I mean when they really hate each other and the fight gets personal, they really pound the $h!+ out of each other, rather than the fights started to kick some life into a team. Those just become hugfests.
And that Calgary/Anaheim game was insane. That was such a cheapshot on Vernon early in the video. I'm suprised they don't show that as one of the dirtiest cheapshots ever. He clearly covered up the puck before he got charged by the Anaheim player.
