need some trade advice!!!I
I can only trade a LW for a LW or a RW for a RW so im stuck on who to trade. I only get 1 Trade

Right now all my players are doing great but there are other playings in the NHL that are doing better, given.

I have RW= Rick Nash and Martin St'Louis who are my lowest point producers for RW. St'Louis was injured for a while, Iv taken that into account. Nash is doing okay but not sure if he's going to keep producing like other players can.
Im thinking of trading ether Nash or St'Louis for RW Kris Versteeg or Jason Pominville. There both doing well so far but not sure if they will keep it up.

I am also thinking to trade LW Henrik Zetterberg who isn't producing like i thought he would, for LW Patrick Sharp who is having a great year so far.

The last trade I am considering is D Duncan Keith or Keith Yandle for D Shea Weber. Both Keith and Yandle are doing okay but Weber is having an awesome year and can get me alot of points on the powerplay. Plus i have Ryan Suter in my pool so they would be a Great combo.

goals=2points, assist=1point, powerplay goals= an additional 2points and powerplay assists= an additional 1 point.

In our pool when we trade a player away we only get his points up to that point, when we acquire our new player we only get his points from then on. (the time of the trade)

Even if the trade went through its okay there saying Weber may even be back friday. Hell be back before letang anyways. Its not like I traded a healty player for and injured one so its okay sort of haha.

I am in a very weird pool. First time ever being in it and you can have the same players. We got to pick any players we wanted even if any other person in the pool had them
4-LW
4-RW
4-C
6-D
2-G

Its people from my Mother work who are doing it and she asked me to basically be in control of the pool. Im a huge hockey fan and know a lot about it. I know its weird.

And we get 1 Trade before the Trade Deadline. I was thinking to make the trade now so i can start accumulating the points of the player I would trade for sooner then later.

I was assuming you had a "trade period/day" where you could make one change. If you can make that deal anytime throughout the season, i'd hold onto it like nuxfan said.

However, i have a question for you. Who the *$%# are you in this pool with??? Even if you told me it was you and 1 other, i'd question why the reigning Vezina trophy winner, Conn Smythe winner and Stanley Cup winning goalie is still available??? You can't seriously expect us to believe that he wouldn't have been picked can you???

thanks for your opinions!!
Ya i agree with St'louis especially with Stamkos Lighting it up. and yes he is back in the lineup and i believe he scored his first game back.
I also agree with Nash he is a solid player and Versteeg yes true he is doing great but it can easily die down because your right nuxfan FLA can easily slow down. Pominville is out I forgot I had Vanek in my pool who will benefit from Pominville like you said nuxfan with Weber and Suter. So im going to keep Nash and St'Louis>>>>

Im still on the fence with Zetterberg for Sharp and with Yandle for Weber. Im keeping Keith he will wake up and start producing more.

I like Z but Sharp is a goal scorer and is getting alot of powerplay points so far.
If i trade yandle for Weber ill have a killer combination with Weber and Suter.

There is also the possiblity of trading my goaile. Ilya Bryzgalov for say Tim Tomas( I already have Jimmy Howard)
1 Trade only I want to make it count.

If you only get 1 trade per year, I honestly would not trade anyone right now - your team looks good.

You have a few players that are going through slumps or slow starts, but Nash, StLouis, Zetterberg, these are all solid players that can be counted on year after year for production. Versteeg is having a great year granted, but it could go south whenever FLA goes south. Pominville can be streaky. Yandle and Keith are solid choices, and although Weber is doing well right now, and may finish they year higher - you already have Suter, who will benefit directly from Weber.

With limited trade pools, I am loathe to trade out players that are simply slumping, in order to get flash new or streaking players. But that is just me.

The Nash for Versteeg one scares me a bit, though Versteeg must be getting all the PP minutes he can handle and your pool is clearly weighted towards that. Nash is also a goal scorer and with 2 for a goal, i'd prob hang onto him!

St Louis is a no brainer imo, keep him! I wouldn't move him unless he was injured more seriously, and i believe he's already back in the lineup, no?

The move i'd make is for Patrick Sharp. I'm big on him this year (i have bets with a few friends on his production) and don't see him slowing down, especially on a very strong team. Also, it again comes to goals and them being worth 2 points over 1 for an assist. Sharp is a sniper and get's a ton of PP time in Chi and if i'm reading correctly, your pool scores 4 pts for a PP goal??? Lastly, Z is injury prone and seems to miss time every year so he's more of a gamble.

If you can get Weber, i'd take a shot at him, again, because he's a scorer! I agree with Beans that Duncan Keith is playing well and is rounding back into "Norris form", but your pool doesn't reward you for trophies, it rewards you with goals! Going by your pools stats, Keith's best year is better than Webers best, but only by 10-12 points. Now, consider the fact that Weber is on pace for a career year, scores more goals and especially more PP goals. If he keeps up this pace, he'll easily pass Keith's best year (by your pool standards) AND for Keith to even compete, he'd have to get back to his numbers from a few years back. I'd roll the dice with Weber myself!

Wow, looking to gain an whole new team!!

I would stay the course with St. Louis. I simply never count him out. I would move Nash for Versteeg. Versteeg is getting all the minutes he wants and producing in all situations. Nash is streaky.

Zetterberg for Sharp is tough. Sharp is having an awesome year but Zetterberg has often been a 2nd half player. I don't think you lose having one over the other.

If you can get Shea Weber for Yandle I would do it, but Keith is back to nearly Norris form and Chicago will be strong all year. The upgrade would be marginal if you traded Keith for Weber. The upside for Weber is far higher when compared to Yandle. I have never been sold on the Handle.
