Posted - 04/17/2012 : 06:12:06 Today, its clear the far most competitive series is Nashville vs Detroit.
Great desapointment for Pit-Phi. What a mess... |

Posted - 04/09/2012 : 13:29:59 I voted Nashville VS the Wings. Detroit is backing into the playoffs while Nashville loaded up for a playoff run. However I pick Detroit in a hard fought 6 game series. Too much playoff experience and the top 5 in Detroit know how to play playoff hockey. |

Posted - 04/09/2012 : 11:38:33 I also voted with another "unobvious" answer, knowing that with all the hype about toughness and goonery in the Pens/Philly series . . . it may not live up to that hype.
St.Louis / San Jose The biggest, toughest team in the west (arguably) with a super-tight defensive system, against the battle hardened big boys from San Jose (Thornton, Marleau, Clowe, Handzus, Burns) - whose go-to guys are just as big and just as bad, and they know what it takes to get to the conference finals, at least. And San Jose is also a low-scoring, hard hitting club . . . it's defence, toughness, and grit facing itself in the mirror.
I predict no less than a total bloody war with lots of goalie crashing, and if there is some kind of sick bet to make on who is the first starting goalie to go out with an injury, I'd predict it's someone from this series.

Posted - 04/09/2012 : 11:16:57 The Pitt / Philly matchup is the obvious answer and that's why i'm gonna go with something else, if for no other reason than thinking that that one won't live up to the hype!
While i think the Caps could give the Bruins a scare (if they get anything close to decent goaltending) i'm gonna say the Kings give the Canucks all they can handle. |
