So who is your pick for the Jack Adams trophy? I think the front runners are (in no particular order):

Peter Deboer.
The Devils went from 23rd overall last season to 6th overall this season while playing in the toughest division of the league.

Ken Hitchcock
Face it, who paid any attention to the Blues last year? This season they look like a genuine cup contender.

Paul McLean
The Sens pushed reset last season and brought in a largely rookie team that was supposed to finish near last in the league this season. Now they are in the playoffs and currently holding their own against the top seed in the east.

John Tortorella
The Rangers went from 18th overall and out of the playoffs last year to top seed in the east this year one win short of the President's Cup, and like NJ, playing in the most competitive division in the league.

Barry Trotz

Barry Trotz? Anyone? That guy does nothing but win hockey games with a team that most people don't consider good enough to win.

How can a team without a singe 30 goal scorer or 60 pt player have the best PP in the NHL.

I think it might have something to do with the coach. Unfortunately, he does not play in a sexy market and did he have a turn around season. He just did what he has done for the past decade. That is, overachieved.

Barry Trotz deserves a Jack Adams, but I think the winner will be Hitchcock.

Daniel Alfredsson is the MVP of the universe. All hail the Ottawa Senators!!!!!

I'm suprised you didn't mention Kevin Dineen (I think that's his name) from the Florida Panthers. At the beginning of the year who would of thought the Panthers would be third seed in the east and division winners He deserves a lot of credit. I think it'll be between him and Hitchcock and I think Hitchcock wins but my vote is for Dineen.

Hey Alex, we dont always disagree. Based on in season changes and improvements to his team I'd say Hitchcock has a great shot. All on that list deserve a recognition, as all have made drastic improvements to teams not considered contenders. Hitchcock however took a basement dweller to the top of the league and his team has made the largest reversal in-season.

I'd have no problem with any of them winning and glad all are being considered.

Elliot has to be the biggest surprise. He couldn't stop a beach ball last year. Both him and Hallack have put that team where it is today.

I will absolutely shocked if Hitchcock doesn't win it. He took a team that was struggling early to a very near win of the President's trophy. Add to the fact that unlike the Canucks and even the Rangers who were the other top teams, the Blues were not expected to challenge for 1st overall. Also, don't forget to consider the defensive improvements they made, easily winning the Jennings trophy!

Can't see it being anyone esle!
