We have our first matchup of the second round made already!

The St. Louis Blues vs. The Los Angeles Kings
& the Blues have home ice advantage

Who do we think will take it and in how many games?

I voted Kings in 6.

Better goaltending, more experience, and more scoring (on paper, and I think in general, more talent).

But a tough one to pick for sure. And I think it will be another "bruiser" of a series, actually looking forward to it!

I think he refering to the goals against rather than the goals for. Both are stingy teams and I have to say Vancouver and San Jose have better offense than the Blues and Kings have, but clearly the goaltendig and defense is better for the Blues and Kings. I agree this could be a low scoring physical series.

Yeah, but that 3-1 game is gonna be an empty netter ;-)

The Blues scored 14 goals in 5 games
The Kings scored 12 goals in 5 games

So obviously there should be more than just 1 goal each. I don't think they will ALL be 1-0 nothing games, but when you have 2 of the hottest goaltenders playing against eachother, then maybe you will.
To me those are 2-1 games are the most exciting ones to watch anyway!

Hard to say, before they playoffs I would have said STL but now im going LA in 6. Sutter has those boys playing their best.

Blue's in 6, maybe 5. Too big. Great goaltending duel with Blues having an option should the #1 fold or go down to injury. Offensively the King's should have an advantage, but coach and defensive system are a clear advantage for the Blue's. This whole team is buying into Hitchcock.
