Posted - 04/23/2012 : 20:38:36 Phoenix beat Chicago tonight and that means they will face the Nashville Predators in the Conference semi-final. Phoenix has home ice.
So who will take it and in how many games? |

This series however could possibly go to 7, with the series being decided on one goal. Mike Smith is playing well, even seems to be playing beyond his ability right now, and despite what Sahis said, Phoenix is getting points from a lot of different players. This could be another upset, as that seems to be the case this year, Phoenix in 7

At this point, which one is the "upset"? I don't think anyone expected either of these two teams to make it this far, never mind both. Despite the seedings, the teams finished 2 points apart from each other in the regular season.
I expect this to be a very low scoring affair. Both teams are defensively minded, and more importantly, the ice is bound to be crap in both cities - PHX is expecting a high of 38C on Saturday! |

Two games in. Smith has been awesome, and Rinne somewhat beatable...C'Mon Preds get it together! |

Next to Pittsburgh and Philly, which was a goal parade both ways, Phoenix is leading the playoffs in goals/game, and Nashville is two behind them... Just saying

Posted - 04/24/2012 : 10:20:03 I say Preds in 5.
I don't see Phoenix matching Nashville in ANY category . . . both teams are essentially the same model, except that Nashville has better players with more experience in the playoffs at every single position.

Posted - 04/24/2012 : 09:49:25 Preds in 6...all the way to the finals...
The Yotes have already achieved more than they're used to. That'll buoy them up for a couple more wins...but no more.

Posted - 04/24/2012 : 08:28:08 Predators in 5. Coyotes surprised me by handling the Hawks as well as they did, and thats not saying they easily won. The Predator's looked dominant against the Wings and thats not an easy team to dominate. Predator's on paper look to be my favorite to come out of the West. I am looking past this round to hopefully a Blue's Predator matchup and it should be a good one. |

Posted - 04/24/2012 : 05:30:54 i am saying preds in 5. i think that the defensive game that the preds bring is gonna be tough for the yotes to beat. not to mention that coming off a series win against the wings is HUGE!
not to say that beating the hawks is easy but lets face it they are not the same team that won the cup. |

Posted - 04/24/2012 : 05:25:28 I'll go out on a limb and say Preds in 4. Pekka Rinne is a much better goalie then Crawford was for Chicago. He alone will shut the 'Yotes down. |
