what do Calgary and a tea bag have in common- they're both only good for one cup
Stastnyforever you think Paul would go good with everyone But honestley he would be ok with him but they need more of a true play maker with him Paul is more of a complete player. |

Posted - 06/03/2007 : 09:38:14 I'm not just saying this because I like Kariya, but him and Ovi would be a great duo. Kariya is more of a playmaker than a scorer in my books. |

Wow Mik, im a little dissapointed in you, thinking Backstrom was the player who scored the game winning goal, him and Lidstrom dont even play in the same position.
What's position have to do with it? D-men and forwards can both score...(I did mean the forward Backstrom, not the goalie, lol). But c'mon it was a year and a half ago, I can't remember everything. |

Posted - 06/02/2007 : 16:21:10 I don't think Crosby and Ovechkin would go good together because in the All-Star game they actually split them up. |

To answer the question, Crosby would be great with Ovechkin, as would Thronton, or basically anybody who knows how to pass the puck, imagine Ovechkin with the Sedins, wow that would be sweet.
CANUCKS RULE!!!

I remember Backstrom. He scored the winning goal against Finland in the Olympics. Not a good mark in my book . He does seem like he'd be a great player though. I only saw him play in the Olympics but he did a decent job. Forsberg was on a Swedish postage stamp. If Backstrom is supposed to be just as good he'll have to prove he's good enough for that too
I don't think this is Forsberg's stamp but I found it on Google while searching "Peter Forsberg postage stamp":
Bäckström wasnt even in the olympics |

Posted - 05/22/2007 : 10:19:41 I'd pick Thornton to match with him. He has finish and is probably the best playmaker in the league. He'd draw a lot of pressure off of Ovechkin, and at the same time, make him much more dangerous. |

Posted - 05/22/2007 : 01:20:34 Ok now it´s official Bäckström is in Washington. If Crosby joined Capitals the club could have the next Gretzky, Forsberg and Bure playing for them. In a couple of years I think Capitals will be a force to be reckoned with.
(Time differance Pickuphockey-Sweden approx +9 hours 1min 5sek......so I can always blame it on Jetlag.) |

Posted - 05/13/2007 : 15:31:13 joe thornton would be the best player to setup ovechkin he would get more than 60 goals in one year with him |

Posted - 05/13/2007 : 09:34:21 Niklas Bäckström (18years old) will play with Ovechkin in The Capitals soon. He has been called the next Forsberg in sweden and was elected rookie of the year in the Elite Leage 06.
Personally I am doubtful, I don´t think he will be abel too reach Forsbergs level. Some of the passes he made in WC 07 was some of the dumbest I´ve ever seen. I´ll guess time will tell.

This is the first thing I thought of too. |

Posted - 05/12/2007 : 18:34:22 Duo = 2 people working together, in this case, two players on the same line. Ovechkin and some other player would be a duo. |

I can not understand reduction |

Posted - 05/11/2007 : 04:04:28 Marc Savard or maybe Daniel Alfredsson. Savard just because of his great passing skills. I dont know why but I just think Alfredsson would play good together. |

Posted - 05/10/2007 : 20:42:27 It doesn't matter who Ovechkin plays with. He's a one-man show who will perform about the same no matter who he plays with. That's not necessarily a diss, but not necessarily a compliment either.

Posted - 05/10/2007 : 19:37:12 I also like Savard as well, he is fast, and he can put the puck on the tape, Ovechkin could be 60+ no problem with him...

Posted - 05/10/2007 : 18:37:41 Savard or Hemsky. Anyone that's a pass 1st/shoot 2nd player with speed would do very well with Ovechkin. |

Posted - 05/10/2007 : 16:19:37 Marc Savard would set Ovi up for 60 plus a season.

Posted - 05/10/2007 : 16:05:43 Him and Crosby would be good. Ovie's the goal-scorer, Sid's the playmaker. Or perhaps him and Thornton; Joe's another good playmaker. |

Posted - 05/10/2007 : 15:40:29 I think a player like Alex Tanguay would go good with Ovi one. Tanguay never shoots it and he would get the puck to Ovechkin all the time. |
