who do you believe to be the nhl's most underated young up and coming star...... (i'm not talking about the young stars we hear about all the time,, more like the 100 plus draft picks that not only fought their way into the nhl but now look like they're going to be great players)

He's fast and an all-around solid player who helps Buffalo win games, but he doesn't get the credit/attention he deserves.

I hope the other 29 teams don't realize how good he is It'll make it easy for the Sabes to sign him (although I hear they've already got him, Drury, and Briere inked)

I probably haven't seen enough of all of these guys to make a fair judgment but I voted Legwand.
I remember going to the Top Prospects game in Calgary the year he played in it. There was a Russian player who was getting all the attention at the time, he played for Calgary. My Dad and I however both picked out Legwand as the best player on the ice. I'm glad to see he's playing well for Nashville.
Funny, I still can't remember the name of that Russian player. Leigh would you know who he was? It would have been around 97 or so I think. He played for the Hitmen.

Ya, Mike Fisher is very good but is he really an up and comer? He's 26, has been in the league for 7 years and is a pretty well known player. Props to him though, he is one of the only players who's numbers have improved literally every year since reaching the NHL.

Other, I think stastny's quite underrated, but not close to as much as Telqvist

what do Calgary and a tea bag have in common- they're both only good for one cup

sastny is nominated for the calder how much better do you want peope to see him,, i mean for playes that were never seen as being as performant as they are,, like penner who wasn;t even drafted plek because they thought he would just be a good hamilton player

He was underrated at the beginning of the year, and with every one talking about Malkin winning it for sure (before it was actually decided) it semt like no one knew he had a better defensive side to his game, I still think Stastny should have one the calder, Malkin played more, on a better line, and didnt have any defense to his game

I said other because I think Shea Weber is very underated. This guy can score and he can hit, I think he is a future Chris Pronger candidate.
