And my vote is to Drury. Captain Clutch, penalty killer, leader, hardworker, can score goals, can set up goals and can work his balls off in front of the net on the PP. |

Posted - 07/08/2007 : 10:56:49 It's close but I give it to Briere, Drurys a better leader, I'm nort sure why they were cocaptains, and drury has a better defensive side to him, but briere is a better scorer, and I think that without drury he could have still been great, but drury has been playing with greats his whole career, with hejduk and deadmarsh in colorado, and with briere and afinigenov in buffalo
what do Calgary and a tea bag have in common- they're both only good for one cup |

Posted - 07/06/2007 : 07:15:18 Drury. Briere was the better goal-scorer, but if Briere scores 2 and the other team scores 3, Drury is there as captain clutch to score the thrid and take it to OT. He's saved a couple Sabres game like that during the season. And he's a great leader who always plays hard. |

Posted - 07/06/2007 : 05:41:36 No question Drury. The guy shows up all the time. However, I don't think they're going to miss either all that much. I think both players benefitted from the system they were in last year. Drury shouldn't see too much of a drop in points, if any, but Briere will. Buffalo will hopefully find a couple gritty free agents to come in and toughen up the team - this will help them in the long run.

Posted - 07/06/2007 : 01:57:32 despite the signifigant difference in their point totals this year Drury is a far better player and bring a lot more to the sabres team,, hes probaly the most clutch player in the league you can count on him to do all he can for the game winner or to protect your lead,,, hes consistantly scored more then 20 goals in every nhl season,, i think no question drury is the better player brierre i fear is a one hit wonder and outside the dynamic of the sabres will not fair as well (he was never worth more then 2 million untill his last two seasons!!)
