Ohhh! I thought you meant "named as a finalist" or something like that...hence my confusion!

Posted - 07/04/2008 : 21:02:34 Well it turns out it was Kane, and he wasnt even on the list. But all the players on that list will pan out to become great players and be top liners in their prime. |

Posted - 11/02/2007 : 09:02:11 I'm going to see a blackhawks vs. coyotes game in december in chicago. At first I was hoping for a better match up but glad I was seeing a game none the less. As every game passes I'm more an more excited to get a chance to see the hawks play live.

Posted - 11/02/2007 : 08:49:17 Get on the phone to Semenko. I recall him taking care of another 160 lbs Canadian Kid.
Toews and Kane are getting their chances and good for them. They are taking advantage of a great opportunity and it's fun to watch.
Decent Rookie Crop this year!!
Wayne or Bobby?? How about both!!! |

He is looking very impressive, but I worry about his size. He's still pretty slight - I wonder how he'll hold up after gettting banged around in the NHL for 50-60 games. We'll find out, I guess. |

Posted - 11/01/2007 : 17:29:31 Okay, 10 or more games into the season, I want to change my answer. Shame on me for only thinking Toews with my heart. My head now agrees!
Backstrom has what, 5 points? Is he even playing with Ovechkin anymore?
I should have my Don Cherry Fan Club Card revoked for choosing a Swede over a Canadian kid. |

Posted - 11/01/2007 : 17:03:28 Jbraiter if you look at the date I released this Pool it will show you that the Chicago Black Hawks or the Edmonton Oilers haven't even started training camp. In the time I released the Poll I put players in my mind that would for sure make the team. Did I think two 18 year olds were going to make it? No way. But good for them that they have.

Posted - 10/15/2007 : 19:52:13 How about Gagner and Cogliano? Cogliano has 5 points and Gagner has 4. I think the competition is Kane, Ganger, Toews and Cogliano. |

Posted - 10/15/2007 : 17:47:24 My heart says Toews, buy my brain says Backstrom. Backstrom is certainly in a better position, playing with Ovechkin. I'm truly hoping Toews, though. |

Posted - 08/30/2007 : 12:03:08 Haha. Don't take what I said literally. Phaneuf is great. Still there won't be as much hype surrounding him. Unless, ofcoarse, the flames play amazingly well and win their division. He will most likley have been a big part of it if it were to happen. This is going to be a big year for many young defensemen. This year should determine where each stands. Players like Ian White, Shea Weber, Marc-Edouard Vlasic, Mattew Carle, Nathan Paetsch, Ryan Suter, Ryan Whitney, Brent Seabrook, Zbynek Michalek, Niklas Kronvall, Francois Beauchemin, Keith Ballard, Andrej Meszaros, Carlo Colaiacovo, Dion Phaneuf. Some of these guys will be the future elite defensemen of the NHL. |

Phaneuf will never be forgotten. he hasnt even hit his peak yet, infact, he is not even close and he is already one of the top rearguards in the NHL. now imagine Erik and Dion on the same line! Now i would pay to see that |

Posted - 08/06/2007 : 19:48:08 Backstrom. He'll end up playing alongside Ovechkin, Clarke, or Semin, unless he gets totally screwed over and Washington makes a line of them. |

Posted - 08/02/2007 : 23:44:22 Oscar Moller will be the best. I live in chilliwack so i get to watch the bruins play and he rules everytime the bruins play a team even the whl champs giants. |

Posted - 08/02/2007 : 19:58:37 I think Toews will. He could be playing with Havlat and from what I hear he has good chemistry with Patrik Kane, I would have put Kane down but I'm not sure if he will be playing for sure. If anyone knows please post that he is or isn't.
