That being said, I didn't pick him. Why?? Because he's going to get his 120-130 points and amazing everyone. That's what he did for the past two years. It's expected now.

Lundquist, on the other hand, is playing behind a less than stellar defense, and will be the biggest reason that NYR have success. He will continue to play great hockey and put himself into the elite goalies in the league.

Wayne or Bobby?? How about both!!!

i agreed i picked henrik aswell he plays brilliant night in night out,, when he loses its usualy a 1-0 game or a 2-1 he truly is a great goaltender and it is very rare that you can say that about a third year goalie,, name another one,, there arent any in todays nhl.

Obviously, I'm not going to go with Sid.. Instead i'll take Lunquist. Why? I guarantee he gets a Stanley Cup before Sidney.
And I also assume Ovi will have about double the goals Sid gets, and nearly as many points, despite being on a team about half as good.
People don't even mention Ovi anymore. Isn't he almost first in goals this year? He's pretty much one of the most incredible players in the league (Maybe Vinny, Kovalchuck and Luongo are ahead of him). I mean, he can score, he goes to the net hard, he can hit, he can take a hit. And he could probably take a stick to the face with a lot more integrety than that other young guy (that was pathetic on Saturday night..When he showed the ref the drop of blood on his lip..that was a Mario/p**** play if I ever saw one).

Sugar Ray over Hasek any day!

I had picked him because in his third year in, he'll have a better understanding of what the NHL is all about. With his talent and understanding for the game, his third year in he should shine. (Not that he hasn't already.)

As for the Russian... If he were playing any other team, (minus the Coyotes,) he'd be a far better player. I don't think the losing is affecting his game, I am sure he hates to lose, but he needs someone to set him up. You can't do everything on your own, although he tries and comes close.

Ovechkin doesn't care if he wins or loses, as long as he gets paid, and scores the big goal to get on Sportscentre every now and then.

Sid is the easy answer but I think that Phaneuf is going to see a significant jump in his production this season

Sid easily should be but give ovechkin someone whos worth more than a 3rd round draft pick on his line and than see who will be the best. Besides Semin

Sid's been the best in the league for the two seasons he's been in it, so I'm willing to bet he'll be the best next year too.

Sid will show improvement every year for the next decade, in both performance and maturity. Anyone who disagrees may run the risk of missing out on some real great hockey history. I sincerely wish him the best of health.

Ya I think after last year Sid should have an even better year. No doubt he will do the best.

I'm pretty sure everyone is going to say Sidney Crosby, and that's who I voted. This year is his to shine, he got the "C" witch could be a good thing or a bad thing and he also has another sniper he can play with in Sykora. He should have a good season.

Lundqvist should also have a good season with the Rangers!
