Steve Yzerman has had an excellent career and has represented his country a number of times. Still, in International competition #19 is remebered more for Paul Henderson than Stevie Y. In my opinion Sakic has had just as good a career and deserves to wear his number.

Leave the number out there for the other Canadians. I'm not convinced that numbers should be retired anyway. 99 ok maybe there is an exception to every rule.
