Who is the player who isn't that skilled but has a great work ethic and that's the reason he's on the team?

Steve Begin is one of the hardest working players.
Gives his life and body to make the play, especially on the penalty kill.

Alex Burrows. You just dont see very many players who start off in the echl and end in the nhl now that takes alot of work to pull off. Though I also agree with Pucks there are almost to many of those type of players in the league to choose just one.

CANUCKS RULE!!!

Actually, I lied. Chris Draper comes to mind at this kind of player.

If you are under the age of 15, please do some research before you make a post about anything pre-1997.

I agree Puck, every team has a couple of those Hard-Hat, Lunch Pail kinda players. With Edmonton it's guys like Moreau and Reasoner. Go out there and work hard, do all the stuff no one else likes doing.

Every team has a couple. I can't think of one in the league that stands out above everyone else.

Is it just me, or do you find that most third, and fourth line players are all hard workers. If they had more talent they would be on one of their teams top lines. Since they are not as talented they need to work hard to stay in the NHL...

Each team in the league has many hard working players, since I am a Leafs fan I will say Battaglia, and Devereaux...

I don't necessarily agree with everything I say.

Adam Mair's a possibility. He's not the most talented on the Sabres but he's got a great work ethic--he always plays hard and never gives up. If he has the puck he will fight to keep it, no one's getting in HIS way!

I'm not sure that Ryan Smyth should be on this list based on the the question. Although he is probably one the hardest working guys in the NHL, he is quite SKILLED. Maybe not like Crosby, Datsyuk or Sakic. But he definitely has a lot of skill.
