Bill Peters, who recently resigned as Carolina's head coach, as been hired to be the new bench boss of the Calgary Flames.

Did the Flames move too fast on this one? I don't know much about Peters, but Carolina never made the playoffs under him... so that doesn't seem too great. Besides being from Alberta (I think), why was he hired?
