Let's keep this clean...

The facts:

Leafs rookie Jiri Tlusty was caught literally with his pants down, as internet photos of him naked have surfaced. They were photos taken on his cell phone, apparently. In one photo, he is seen with his tongue out touching the tongue of another man, a friend of his.

Now Jiri says he is straight, and that the photos are just him goofing around. I have to say I could care less what he is, he shouldn't put himself in that position.

The Leaf players say they support Jiri.

What do you think? I personally think it's pretty stupid of him, but we've all said and done things that would make us shudder if they were put on a website somewhere. He should be smarter than this, but most 19-years olds aren't, are they?

A good lesson, or a reason to get rid of him?

19,000 fans at the ACC, and do you think they are all angels?

Why "boo" anyone, Bell is going to do his time, and that is his punishment, so "booing" him accomplishes what?

And for Tlusty, this is the only site that I visit that is still talking about his photos, all the other sites, and fans have forgotten already...

I don't necessarily agree with everything I say.

It seems that we just can't have any kind of intelligent conversation on anything to do with The Leafs. Jiri Tlusty is a blue chip prospect and has done nothing to disprove that fact. How far he goes is pure conjecture at this point. If he was in Chicago I think some of these comments would have a different "tone" to them.

Jiri Tlusty what do I think?

He's not good enough to be in the NHL and would not be given a chance on at least 27 of the 30 NHL teams.

Leafs fans do not care at all about these pictures, all we care about is that he is playing decent hockey. At the moment he looks like a potential solid second liner at least, maybe even decent first line potential, which is sadly better than almost any other prospect or young player in the system. There is no way the Leafs even think about getting rid of him over a few photos.

Actually beans, depending on how the fans take it, maybe it can. If fans booed him all over the ice, how is that supposed to make him feel? Is he supposed to have the same consentration as he did before? The things, I think, can really affect how a guy plays.

GO PREDATORS GO

What I did when I was 19 is really nothing that has to do with a hockey forum.

My point was that kids that age can get crazy and do stuff, usually when drinking or indulging in other types of "fun" that they would not normally do.

Who cares if this kid to a picture of himself naked and sent it to a girl.

Does that make him a better or worse hockey player??

Wayne or Bobby?? How about both!!!

Bean 15, seriously, what did you do when you were 19
Beans15 Posted - 11/29/2007 : 07:43:29
As Fly said, keep it clean. We are not here to judge or make comments about anyone's sexuality.

Wayne or Bobby?? How about both!!!

Is that a leafs fan or just another queer trying to tell us it's OK to be gay lol

Oh, dear God I enjoy you Leafs' fans. You just admitted to having done gay s*** with your friends in an awkward attempt to help Tlusty save face in this forum.

The Oil WILL make the playoffs.

Facts??? I think you need to revisit your facts... In Tlusty's photo where he's posing as a drunken idiot with his friend, he is NOT touching tongues with the guy. They both have their tongues out, and his friend is making his tongue curl back in some kind of mock-gay thing.

They obviously aren't gay. The fact that people like you post retarded comments like "They were touching tongues in the photo" is exactly how this s*** got blown all out of proportion.

His naked photos were taken in private and sent to a girl.

I'm actually a little surprised at how quickly this went away.

My nude pictures took forever for people to get over. Maybe that's because their quality was so outstanding.

Yeah, that was just a joke, sadly.

Just another silly incident. He's not the only person in the world to have done this, just the first NHL player to do it and be caught. lol. I think it's all blown out of proportion. Let the guy be, let him play hockey. What he does on his own time, is his own business. He just needs to be smarter about it.

I am sure Avery will have something to say the next time the Leafs meat the Rangers, if Avery is still on the team...

I don't necessarily agree with everything I say.

Praise the Lord they didn't have digital cameras and MySpace in 1989!

I don't think it's worth getting rid of him either. Not by a long shot. I think the nude photos thing will blow over quickly. I'm not so sure about the tongue thing, though. That's going to haunt him. As far as we've come in our society, this is still (for the most part) a game played by fairly conservative good ol' boys.

More ammo for Avery.

Get rid of him?? I think that's a little much. Firstly, I hope the hockey community isn't so homophobic that the part about the other man doesn't influence his future.

I can understand maybe a fine by the team for something that would tarnish the sparkly clean image of the Leafs, but he is 19.

I am sure that we have all done stupid things in our life, but this is the digital age. You have to be a lot smarter when amongst people you may not know too well.

Cell phone cameras are at every party, function, bar, sporting event etc.
If you do something you need to realize, would I do this if it would end up on TV or the internet??? especially if you happen to be someone famous.

I bet he learned his lesson, maybe the hard way.

Not a reason to get rid of him. He is an up and coming player and they would be crazy to get rid of him over some silly photos.

His team mates and i heard JFJ have all supported him. He was young and hopefully this is a learning step in the right direction for him.
