Posted - 12/08/2007 : 16:38:30 I think what goes through a smart goalies mind is that you are taking a play that has a 50:50 chance of going your way and turning into a play that is all or nothing -- factoring in the possible penalty.
Now the brains come in when Hasek realizes that in the split second Gaborik has his head down to recieve that pass, he can go for broke, and he does it well, I gotta say. If you were playing a team with a good PP I don't know how inclined I would be to let hm have the breakaway if I have the talent Hasek has.
