Posted - 01/19/2006 : 19:06:32 Pittsburgh moving to Winnipeg is one of the most ridiculous rumours in hockey. Lemieux only used that to threaten the Pittsburgh municipal government that they would leave Pittsburgh (to go to Winnipeg) if the city didn't fund a new stadium for his team. It was never going to happen anyways, but it must've convinced the city enough for them to approve the building of a new stadium.
Winnipeg will never again have an NHL team, guaranteed. |

Posted - 01/19/2006 : 09:32:21 Now the rumor is that the Pens are going to "rebuild". When did they ever build? They got a hard on once they won the Crosby sweepstakes and started signing overrated talent like it was going out of style. Palffy did them a favor.
They need to focus on Crosby, Malkin, and Fleury who are the future of the franchise. If the Pittsburgh fans won't support it then move the team to Winnipeg. |

The Pens are royally f***ed now! |

Of my 13 skaters, 4 are injured (McCabe, Demitra, Lemieux and Spezza) and now a 5th retires. Thank God I had a huge lead before this all happened.
Palffy was one of my favorite players. I loved his playmaking style, his slick skating and his all-around skill set. Litterally adding insult to injury for the Pens. |
