Markus Naslund has officially pulled out of the Olympics as he is going to stay in Vancouver and rest his nagging groin injury. The coach of team Sweden was quoted as saying that if Naslund wasn't at 100% then he didn't want him on the team. I am not sure why Naslund gets disrespected so much from his home country - but given Sweden's international record I would take Naslund at 75% in a heartbeat.

I don't think coach Gustafsson was disrespecting him - in fact I think he helped to soften the blow by standing behind him if he was going to opt out due to injury.

If I can safely assume Forsberg won't be there either, that's a severe blow to the Swedes.
