Posted - 01/29/2008 : 08:01:05 Thanks, it was a good article. I agree completely with Red, if it went back to the Stanley Cup Champs against NHL all-stars, that would be a game worth watching.
Team pride would take over, and it would definitely be competetive. Not like a playoff game; but there would be pride at stake. The all stars would have an advantage of talent, of course - but not being a cohesive team, it would be a pretty even match-up, I think.
But why watch great hockey, when we can watch Nash float in past the blue-line unobstructed, wind up for a slapshot at the face-off circle, as the all-star defenceman turns his head and gets out of the way . . .
