Name the players who you think have really surprised you in a positive or negative way.

Mine is Shane Doan, Jason Pominville and Derek Roy. All of them are having great seasons for their respected clubs and it seems no one is talking about them.

Name some other players who have surprised you this season.

Others are Mike Richards, Mike Green,

I can already see LF_101 posting in this thread saying how Mike Green does not deserve all the praise that he is getting. In some ways I also agree with him.

Considering most people had never heard of him before this year, i would say he was a surprise.

Tomas Plekanec was very impressive for a few months in the season, but my vote goes to Andrew Brunette.

Offensively Mike Green deserves to be praised but on the other side of the rink, in the defensive zone he needs to get better.

Antropov - I am surprised he almost managed to complete the season without injury. Good statistical season though while playing on a questionable team?

Brad Boyes, Mike Richards come to mind first for me . . . didn't know they had it in them.

Also . . . Mike Ribeiro. Totally brought his game up to a new level in Dallas.

I'm definitly with you on Shane Doan and Derek Roy. Roy had almost replaced Brier on the Sabres! Others are Mike Richards, Mike Green, and Pascal Leclaire, Mike Rebeiro, Ty Conklin, and i'm even saying Alexei Kovalev. He has REALLY turned it around this year!

Bad surprises: SHeldon Souray, Jagr, Brier, Ryan SMyth, Crosby
