Posted - 03/09/2006 : 15:10:56 Just under the wire! The Flames picked up center Jamie Lundmark from the Phoenix Coyotes in exchange for a fourth-round choice in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. Apparently Lundmark has 19 points and a minus-3 rating in 41 games this year and is earning $550,000 this season.

Posted - 03/10/2006 : 10:06:39 The Flames really needed some scoring but couldn't get any help on deadline day. Probably didn't want to give up any of their denfencemen in order to do so. Even though I am not a big fan of the Flames - Its all about Iginla and Kipper. If they are on, the Flames only need 1 or 2 goals a game.

Posted - 03/09/2006 : 16:52:55 They waited too long and there was no one left. But why not Arnason from Chicago? The Sens picked up Arnason for Brandon Bochenski and a second-round pick, not a bad deal. They needed a centre for Iginla and I don't think that Lundmark is it.
