With the win over the Coyotes and the Oil losing to Mini tonight that puts the Ducks in a tie with Edmonton for last place in the West. A month ago that seemed like it would be a miracle. Well miracles do exist! They have momentum.

Hopefully they make the playoffs this year, but even if they don't - Cory Perry, Ryan Getzlaf and the leadership of Scott Niedermayer will be that much better next season. Brian Burke is going to turn this team into a solid franchise for years to come. He trimmed the fat by losing Fedorov and Sykora, then picked up some good prospects for Carney.
