Posted - 05/08/2008 : 15:10:21 Jason Pominville is listed as being born in Repentigny, QC, CANADA. Yet, he is playing for Team USA at the IIHF WHC. Is this another Brett Hull scenario or is there a different reasoning behind this. Anybody?

Posted - 06/01/2008 : 16:44:55 Yeah, Like Paul Stastny could possibly make team Canada, he is great from one end to the other. Also Jason Pominville has a little tiny chance of making it but I would rather him play for the U.S.A squad. Canada should pick a half experienced and half unexperienced squad. Like they should have Statsny, M.Richards ect.

Posted - 05/12/2008 : 20:03:15 Stastny, no shot? Are you serious? I gotta back up my guy here. Let's take a look here. Mr. Sam Gagner is at the World Championships. Say what you want about him being there for 'experience' but Paul deserves to be there. PPG Player, great start this year, 20 game point streak in his rookie year, Smart Player and good defensively (+22) Canada needs this guy. Too bad he chose to play for the States, its up to him, and you can't blame him. Anyway's I just wanted to let you know i think he FOR SURE has a shot at team canada.

well lets face it they probaly don't have a shot this year at team canada or at the olympics so in order to perform on the world stage they play for team u.s.a

Posted - 05/08/2008 : 17:00:14 He has dual citizenship and he thinks he has a better shot at making Team U.S.A then Team Canada. I think he is selling himself short because he is a nominee for the Lady Byng trophy. |
