The league announced that each team will have one player representing them in the marketing of the league. So next year we might see some NHL ads that actually depict real NHL players. I am glad someone realized that the "MY NHL" campaign needed some retooling. What was up with the chick putting on that guys shoulder pads in some sort of weird ancient samurai ritual?

c'mon, I kinda liked all the fans in the crowd cheering for the non NHL players who are all playing for team red NHL. Way more effective than having Crosby or Ovechkin selling the game. Seriously, who were they trying to reach here? Take a look at the new Nike ads with Niedermayer, St. Louis, and Iginla - those are sweet. The NHL should be taking notes.
