Dave Nonis will be a busy man this summer. He has to sign Jovo, has to trade Bertuzzi, and now should probably start looking for a new captain. Here is what Naslund had to say about his role as leader of the team:

"If they think they have a better candidate," he said, "then I'm all for it. It is a burden, especially when things are going rough."

That is not what you want to hear from your captain. I say trade him - make Jovo captain, sign some free agents in the offseason and start fresh.

Jovo as captain? First they have to resign him and if they are rebuilding, a vet like him might not stay. Second, i heard rumblings that he is not overly popular in the room. But then again, who else is worthy...Carter? But they have to sign him too.

Face it, the team is done.
