it better live up to expectations... i'm pretty pumped for its arrival sept. 9th. if its just a slightly updated version of 08 with better dekes and new d-skills then i wont be satisfied. but i'm sure it'll blow me away. one thing though...... if i score everytime doing the same backhand-to-forehand-to-backhand deke, then i'll be pissed!! i need a bigger challenge. AND UPLOAD THE GOALIE EQUIPMENT!! LUNDQVIST NEVER USED TPS SUMMITS!!! lol =P |

unreal game just got it started my be a pro played some online games
flames are unreal in it as well as the wings
avalanche have sick offense and terrible goaltending
I don't bring the controversey it comes to me.

the fighting is sooo amazing ... its actually real .. and one of the few problems i had was in be a pro after leading the league for 2 years it randomly sent me to waivers and i got signed and back on a farm team mid-seaon... lol gotta fix that

oh yea. one of the very few problems i had with 09. they said they improved the checking system so smaller players who avoid hitting couldn't deliver big blows. well...... they still do. |

i know...
and you wouldnt believe how real it sounds when i play at joe louis arena. with the custom soundtrack, not only did i put songs they use most during wings' games, i made them custom by picking the parts they play (about 25-30 seconds worth) then added the NHL organ songs right after them all in one song so it plays both before the next drop of the puck. and for the penalties it does that little duh duh duh dunn thing before the song plays hah.. im having too much fun with this game. and just to think i was happy with 08... 09 kicks its ass |

The demo was real cool, but I don't care for demo's. I gotta see the game in every aspect, not just a period of gameplay, in order to cherish it. |

Both 2K9 and 09 Demo's are out. Kind of dumb though you only get to play a period, still a good sample of what to expect. |

a game where you control the stick with a joystick vs. where you press different buttons to control the stick and shots... hmmmmm........ lol
the EA series stepped it up so much that they are much ahead of the 2K Sports series with graphics, gameplay, and controls. They do need to improve the "outside of the game" features though, where 2K has made big improvements that EA has yet to do. |

2k8 has brutal game play compared to 08, I like features in their dynasty mode better than 08 though

dang, didn't know that, thats sweet. why can't september 9th come any quicker?! i'm getting bored with nhl 08 and i tried the demo of 2k9 and ummm... yeah... nothing really to say. 2k8 didnt impress me neither.
who else agrees that the graphics of 08 demolished 2k8?? |

one addition to the game a like is how you can like take the old create a team mode and play with your own created players online.

yeah and one handed dekes sounds pretty sick. i also heard how the hitting will be a little different. now when im playing as my wings, rafalski wont be dishin out big hits with lidstrom, it should be kronwall and stuart layin out the bodies. realistic gameplay is my main concern when it comes to hockey vids. |

Im lovin the 360 degree defense control too.. bc that poke check in 08 was brutal.. worked everytime .. now your going to have to have skill.. also the fighting looks better.. be a pro looks amazing .. this game is going to be sick

yeah thats gonna be real sweet. i played goalie my whole life and in high school and goalie mode on 08 was a little tough to always make the saves so i hope its a little easier on 09 for superstar mode |

I like that they finally got a superstar mode like on Madden where you control one player. |
