Posted - 05/08/2006 : 08:55:21 Looks like Brian Burke will be looking to shop JS Giguere this off-season. Ilya Bryzgalov has been awesome! 229 minute shutout streak and he credits his focus to Plato and Socrates - check it out:

Posted - 05/12/2006 : 10:56:52 Wow, Anaheim sweeps the Avs - who saw this coming? It looks like the SJ/EDM series is going to be a long and tough seriers. Can the winner handle the well rested Ducks?
Give credit to Brian Burke on this. First he made the two best signings of the off season with Selanne and Niedermayer. He dumped Fedorov's salary and picked up Marchant and the surprise Francois Beauchamin. Then he dumps Sykora. We miss him in Vancouver. |

Posted - 05/08/2006 : 23:56:36 I wonder if Giguere would be moved to Vancouver? Burke and Nonis are tight and Van needs a number one goalie. The only flaw is that GM's don't usually move within the same conference. That and Giguere is massively overpaid. |

Posted - 05/08/2006 : 13:02:25 Yeah, remember Giguere's streak against Minnesota in the Conference Finals in 03? Shut them out the first three games and change... Look how well he did the year after (they didn't even make the playoffs - 12th in the West).
Remember Brian Boucher's five shutout streak of a few years back? How well is he doing being Kiprusoff's backup?
As soon as Colorado gets one, they will start rolling. It's just the first one is the hardest to get and especially that they're going back home...
Bryzgalov's streak will soon be forgotten. |
