Talk this morning that Sidney Crosby may be named Captain of the Pittsburgh Penguins. I think this is way too soon to be making this move. Let Recchi or another vet do the leadership gig while Crosby focuses on scoring goals. I would hate to see this extra added responsibility slow Sid's production aand development as a pro. |

Looks like nobody will be wearing the C in Pittsburgh. It was reported that the Pens will go with a number of Alternate captains this season.

What? Crosby's a rookie--he's had very little NHL experience. Someone with more experience should wear the C. |

There's just no way he can wear the C. Sure he may lead the team in points for the next decade but that doesn't make him a captain, especially given his age. It should be Recchi or LeClair hands down. |
