How many teams actually have six top six forwards? The first that come to my mind are Philedalphia, Boston, and San Jose any others I missed?

I love Phillys top 6. Hell, their top 8 is impressive.

Richards,Carter,Gagne,Briere,Hartnell,Knuble,Lupul,Giroux

Not bad

There is no "I" in team, but there is an "M" and an "E".

Haha, you've replaced guest 7752 as my leaf hating rival. It makes things so much more fun :)

The leafs have 6 middle 6 forwards!

Your calling Malone, Prospal and Halpen top six...?

Malone...maybe.

Prospal, when he is getting set up by St Louis or setting up Leacavlier.

Halpern...you are a funny guy.

Crosby is not the Lord & Savior of the NHL, get over yourself McGuire.
Gretzky has never once high-sticked a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

definitely calgary, they can mix up their lines in so many ways and still be remarkably effective. Iginla, Cammaleri, Jokinen, Langkow, Bertuzzi, Bourque. Any of those guys can play first line no problem

Montreal does not have 6 "top 6" forwards. They are all overrated. They have no legit 1st liners, unless you count a healthy Tanguay. Everyone else is 2nd line at best. Mainly 3rd and 4th liners.

Dude, im pretty sure that 2nd line counts as top 6. Kovalev isnt a 1st line player..? C'mon.

Lang, tanguay, koivu, kovalev, a.kostitsyn and pleckanec can all play in the top 6 when at their best. Just because Montreals season has gone into the tank doesnt mean those guys arent considered to be top 6 forwards.

I think Vancouver does. Also, Washington and New Jersey. You also have to consider a team like Colorado who would definately have 6 top 6 forwards if they were all healthy.

dude, i think he means which teams have 6 forwards that can legitimatley be called top 6 forwards. Look at the leafs they have 4 lines of 3rd liners..
Guest9177 Posted - 04/07/2009 : 12:16:08
every team has 6 top 6 forwards, unless they play with fewer than 6 forwards. Maybe they have lines with 3 or 4 defensemen.
