Posted - 05/08/2009 : 10:02:20 I heard a brief news report that police are investigating a death thraet against Alex Ovechkin. Apparently the threat was posted on a Penguins fan blog. Has anyone seen this blog or have a link to it? Curious as to wether it was stated in a way that seemed real or just a fan venting their frustration.
Did you hear about the retired proctologist? He spent 40 years saying "what's a place like this doing in a girl like you?"

"I'm killing Ovechkin. I'll go to jail. I don't care anymore."
It's hard to tell if he was serious without seeing it in context. Considering he's 17 it was probably just something he wrote jokingly without thinking about how it would sound to readers. But I guess it's better to be safe than sorry...

Posted - 05/08/2009 : 10:30:24 Don't know of the blog, as of course they didn't mention it - but I heard they had a teenager in custody as a result. I can't remember the exact wording, but it was a clear threat to kill him that ended with something like, " . . . and it will happen for sure, you can count on it".
Didn't sound like the usual venting according to the news reports, but without seeing it, how can we know for sure?
