Out of 15 of the top 16 playoffs teams(Detroit excluded), which one do you beleive will have the worst 2009-2010 regular season? |

Agree, the Hawks will take that division. They've taken a bite of victory, now they want the whole thing. Philly, they'll battle Pittsburgh for 1st in the division until the last week of the season. The Flyers will finish top 5 in the East. Looking forward to see Emery hold down the fort in the City of Brotherly love...Sens fans...what could have been...

I see Pittsburgh suffering a slight hangover . . . less than the one they had last year. Remember that? The Pens played very ambivalently, and were on the outside looking in for the majority of the year. Then, they turned it around, and ended up in the top 4 . . . frankly, I see more of the same this year with less of a slump, especially as their two young superstars are really maturing into their peak career value. Really wish Detroit was an option because on paper this team lost the most depth and can least afford to replace it. My hope is for Phily to fall the farthest because of the twin penalty monster signings and the loss of Biron and Lupol. My head says Pittsburg, with the cup hangover and the fact of playing 2 finals in a row, plus it being an olympic year with there best players being stretched thin. I expect them to fight for 7 or 8. |

Man im not doing good on this forum this week, but I just left Detroit off because they are still realy strong, and i dont think they will have a terrible year. I would be extremly surprised if Detroit didnt win the division

Everyone seems to forget that last year was NOT Cammalleris first 80 point season in 06-07 he had 80p in 81gp with the LA Kings, so if Gomez isn't as good as Iginla, but better then any center on LA then Cammalleri should have somewhere in the middle? that would be 81p, wow look at the deduction.

I agree - I think the Habs will be in a similar position, but it's just a guess, really . . . it's a whole different team, and who knows how they play together. Some people may be looking at them thinking they improved, but they lost leadership and toughness and are in a division with an improved Toronto and Ottawa (both with key ex-Montreal players), a still very good Boston, and a Buffalo team coming off a bad year.
I really can't see the Hab doing much better than last year, I predict they will be fighting with the usual suspects for a playoff spot.

The Habs will definitely have a different look, but i think you can expect similar results. I'm guessing they're in a battle with a few other teams over the final 2 playoff spots in the East. |

Cammalerri will not have the same kind of numbers in montreal. Simply put, Scott Gomez isn't as good as Jarome Iginla. Every team faces injuries as well, and if Gomez or Cammalerri go down, the Habs are finished. |

WOW, I am amazed at how fast you are turning against your team, I mean, THEY GOT BETTER!!! They got IMO the second best Free Agent forward available,Cammaleri, after Hossa, and the only question is Price, who should hopefully have a bounce back year.

I wouldnt say Montreal is better, last year they were good but had alot of distractions and underachievers. This year they will be alot different. They lost their captain, most skilled player and their top shutdown defensemen. They also got smaller, and will be hoping that Camaleri will put up the same numbers, and Gomez will produce more than60-70 points for 7 mil a year. Also are unsure if Price will be the goalie he can be. I beleive the season may come down to the play of Price and Maybe Halak. Either way though, I dont see them as contenders. |

The Habs are better this year then last year, no question. They got some nice acquisitions and wont do bad.
Even though Anaheim seems solid, after losing Beauchemin and Pronger they were big pieces to their blue line. I question them although they had a disappointing season last year but topped it off by knocking off the #1 seed Sharks and taking the robotic Wings to 7 games. I suspect they will still be solid though.

Now that Montreal picked up Paul Mara, they still won't do that good but they probally won't have as much goals againist them.Even tho he is fairly big he still won't stop every goal but he will maybe stop a couple, he is just a defensive defensemen.

I picked the Rangers. Gonna be relying a lot on Lundquist (as usual) and an injury prone Gaborik. Just playing the odds that he's hurt for a bit but IF he stays healthy, my pick will be way off. |

I have would have to say my favorite team Montreal.I don't think they will be doing good because right now they have a small team so they will have a rough season.

Kind of based off of the other poll, biggest turnaround. I excluded Detroit, it was an educated guess they wouldnt suck this year. Anyways, I voted for Montreal, with alot of changes, and unsure of which Carey Price they will see, I can see them missing the playoffs and doing the worst. |
