Posted - 11/29/2006 : 23:09:08 I know that the +/- are calculate like this... when a player is on the ice and his team scores a goal he gets +1 and when the other team scores a goal he gets -1
But does it take in consideration if a player plays during the powerplay or short handed? because if so some players who plays only on the PP would have an advantage over the players who only play SH. |

Posted - 12/01/2006 : 11:24:58 When an even-strength or shorthanded goal is scored, every player on the ice for the team scoring the goal is credited with a plus. Every player on the ice for the team scored against gets a minus.

Posted - 12/01/2006 : 07:28:59 Actually, special teams do have an effect on +/- in the case of shorthanded goals. If a player is on the ice for a shorthanded goal for his team, he gets +1. Conversely, if a player is on the ice for a shorthanded goal against, he is charged with -1. |
