Posted - 11/24/2009 : 12:57:19 We all know that Brodeur and Luongo are locks. Now that Cam Ward is hurt, Mason is going through a rough sophmore start. Who is gonna challange Fleury if anyone for the third spot? Ray Emery, Chris Mason, Marty Turco, Carey Price, Chris Osgood, Jean S. Giguere?

Posted - 11/25/2009 : 12:29:45 Fleury deserves a spot on that team barring injuries. Brodeur is the starter. Luongo should be the other one, but if a fourth goalie would come in then yeah Turco would be my choice. |

Belfour won the Cup. Turco got to cheer really loud from the bench.

Posted - 11/24/2009 : 20:54:25 Goin through a bit of a rough patch right now with all the injuries in pittsburgh but i gotta think it'll be Fleury after the playoffs he had last year and lets face it barring an injruy he wont see action anyway.

The arena wall in chicago should be credited with a goal.
Him making the 06 canadian olympic team was a BIG mistake then... I would say that Broduer, Luongo and Fluery are pretty much locks at this point, I mean, Fleary could possibly be the starter at this point.
CANUCKS RULE!!!

Posted - 11/24/2009 : 16:39:58 good question mikey boy. its really hard to say. i think that if fleury was to become the #2 goalie, i think he could take either luongo or brodeurs spot. i think just because of the experience brodeur has, luongo would be the guy that fleury would replace, again a tough decision, but i would probably have luongo as my #3 gaolie if fleury was to move to the #2 spot. and of course brodeur #1 |

Posted - 11/24/2009 : 16:28:43 Very interesting point putting Fleury #2. I'm not gonna disagree at all... i think Fleury is awesome!...i just would like to know who your #1 & #3 are?
I also don't think that choosing Emery is that off the wall either. He was a very good goalie in Ottawa, Europe and is in Philly. The only thing holding him back is his attitude, so i hear. But at the end of the day... its only 2 weeks and if he has a gold medal around his neck, let the Flyers worry about the attitude his job is to stop pucks and he is very good at it. Better then Brodeur, Luongo + Fleury? I think not...but...injuries do happen and they have to be ready.

Posted - 11/24/2009 : 14:59:28 If I had to pick somebody off the list of players in the first post other then Fleury I would have to go with Emery.
Wait before everybody calls me an idiot...and maybe I am.....Emery has been very good since rejoining the league. He also had very good numbers in the Russian league and I haven’t seen a game from that league but I assume it would be wide open hockey and tough for a goaltender much like the Olympics. And no I dont expect anybody to agree with me.
Maybe its not fair to not even give Turco a look but I just cant stand him. |

Posted - 11/24/2009 : 14:41:40 u know wut, im gunna go out on a limb here and say that fleury may have a shot at the #2 spot. why the hell not. he's been nuthin but consistent and clutch for his team. he's been a major part of each of the last 2 playoff runs, each time making it to the final. it will b hard to knock luongo or brodeur from their spots, but i wouldnt rule it out. but thats just me |

Posted - 11/24/2009 : 14:25:38 the only one i can see taking Fluery's spot would be turco as said before he is very consistent but i think after fluerys playoff performance last year he pretty much has the 3rd spot.
And turco is canadian. |
