Fellow Pick Up Hockey Dudes

I am in Saskatoon for the week. I looked for tickets for the Gold Medal game and don't feel too great about $200 for upper bowl tickets considering the WJC is in Edmonton/Calgary in 2 short years and I can more than likely get a multigame pass for $200-$400.

Regardless, I need you help! I don't know Saskatoon from a hole in the ground and I have no idea where to watch the game tomorrow!! Anyone have an idea of a decent pub with good food, good TV's to watch the game, and most importantly great fans??

Any help would be awesome!

Bummer Beans, 5 is a very difficult number to find tix for, scalped or not! You'd likely have to not only pay a fortune, but prob split up into pairs and a single. With a little luck, you might find a 3 and a 2 but again, $$$$$!!!

Sucks that you fluke out with a business trip at what turns out to be an opportune time and not be able to take advantage of it to the fullest but i couldn't see myself paying the $200+ either!

Find a bar, enjoy your night and report back to us as soon as the hangover subsides!

What luck . . . hope you get even luckier and find a cheap ticket to actually attend, but fat chance of that I am thinking.

We at Pickup Hockey expect a full report afterward!

Beans, while i've never been to Sask, i'd recommend scouting out a good spot to watch it near the rink if that's possible? Then i'd go and try to buy a scalper ticket as the price may just come down as the game nears? Not sure if you're looking for a single or if you're with someone but sometimes scalpers get stuck with a single and even just being in the stadium would be a great atmosphere! However, i don't blame you for not wanting to pay that much!
Only risk with this is that you may not get a seat at a bar if you go late, actually i can almost guarantee you won't? If you're by yourself or even with a buddy or g/f, you may prefer to get to a pub and grab a good seat?
Whatever you decide, enjoy, have a good time!

Flick on C95.1 fm, they are advertising spots for where to party, and one big one in particular, I forget where.

If all else fails, check out Beily's on 8th street.
