Smolinski will disappoint you defensively (coming from a Sens fan).
Isn't it wierd how some players get a rating boost when they join YOUR club? Everybody saw Smolinski as a 'throw-in' on the Havlat deal a year ago, now he's a good pivot man...

im happy smolinski is a good player and sopel was great for canucks so canucks got better deal out of this one.

hope he doesnt end up being a bulis number 2
and i love how sopel is back in vancouver. i heard he wants to retire in van.. he loves it here!

Haven't seen this yet, but if its true, then a solid pickup. It was pretty sad watching Naslund play with Green. Smolinski is a solid 3rd line center. Now all we need is a scoring winger and a 5th defensemen. I would love to see Guerin but thats not going to happen. Gelinas would be great. Not really a high scoring guy anymore but solid for the playoffs.
