Posted - 05/05/2009 : 11:51:16 I thought this was pretty interesting - apparently Pierre McGuire from TSN is a front runner for the Wild General Manager position!! I don't know if he has a management background, only that he usually really gets on my nerves when I watch TSN. I'm almost hoping he gets the gig so he won't be on TV anymore!
Posted - 05/05/2009 : 13:32:35 I've heard McGuire's name for a few jobs so far. Apparently if you are loud and contridict yourself, you can be a coach or GM in the NHL!!
I've also heard Pat Quinn was interviewed in Minnesota. I would think they want to move quickly as they will be looking to replace their coach, their superstar(we know Gaborik is hitting the open market) and run a draft.
That GM will be in place before the start of the Final Series.
And I agree, I hope McGuire get any job off of TV. Anything at all except the Oilers coaching job.
