Have you heard of that big headed punk of Guillaume Latendresse? Worst player ever!
That guy is playing only for the public, he has a big head just like Maxim Lapierre - Taken from Alexei Kovalev's interview that he has done in Russia.
The way that guy hit Rob DiMaio is simply unacceptable, he cheap-shot him! - Taken from Tim Taylor's interview.
Next time i play against him, i will get him for what he did to Radek! - Taken from Chris Simon's interview after Latendresse cheap-shot Radek Martinek and broke his foot.
All comes together to indicate that Latendresse is on his way to become a Sean Avery who does not fight.

hey aki berg wasnt that bad! I saw Boyd Deveraux undress someone this year, how does that happen?!
Aki played on leaf teams that made the playoffs every year, and usually went a couple rounds at least. You've got to be doing something right if you are in that position. He wasn't a point producer but he was usually good enough to just get the puck out and not make many stupid plays.
The fact that he played in Toronto, and his name is Aki Berg, made him seem worse than he really was.
There is no "I" in team, but there is an "M" and an "E". |

Aki Berg! He was undressed by Mike Grier! How on earth does that happen??? He is at least the worst D-man since 2000.
Also, please note that the Draft Pick the Leafs used to get Berg from the Kings was used to draft Michael Cammalleri.

I'm not going to answer an overall question like this, but since there seem to be a lot of Canuck fans on this site right now, their worst player ever...................Dan Cloutier was definately up there. With all his extra training, he still was good for 1 blue-line goal per game.

Smyth is a good player who works his ass off every game hes played. He is overpaid there is no doubt about it but still, id like to see you stand in front of 100mph shots every game. |

I am going to put Nikolai Borschevsky down for this one too. The guy was a rag doll out there.
Paintrain is right though. These guys are all NHLers on NHL teams that need them for one reason or another.
Jonas Hoglund was a good choice too. |

I liked that guy...That was a cheep shot, but he was more of a pest than a cheap shot artist. he was a great playoff performer, and all-and-all a decent player......

dont say anything bad about ryan smyth, he is a warrior and is the best at what he does, he could play for my team anytime. as for the worst player i think its pretty obvious that belak sucks soooo much...hal gill is good. dont dis him either! |

But Lattendresse is certainly not the worst player ever, how can you ever say who was the "worst" player to play in the NHL? Seriously, that's like saying who's the dumbest straight-A student in the class.

I think there have been many worse players in NHL histrory then Latandresse. There was a goalie who was nicknamed "Red Light", but I forget his last name (its on the tip of my toungue). But to us Leafs fans, does the name Jonas Hoglund ring a bell. When he decided to leave Toronto I cried, literally. i hated that guy and was sooo happy when he left.
