With August almost here, what team has done the most to improve their chances of moving up in the standings and who has done the most (or least) to move down?

Chicago
Similar to Sharks, it's got to be this year.

I feel a few teams have made improvements. Calgary has improved their chances of winning the cup, not sure they are good enough yet but it has to be this year or next with Iginla and Kiprusoff getting older. I am dissapointed with San Jose after hearing about the shakeup that was supposed to be coming, another team that has to win now if they are going to.

Winning a cup if very difficult to do, when you are close you have to sacrifice a LITTLE of your future to take a chance. Look at Dallas when they moved Iginla, I am sure they wanted to keep him, but he brought them Nieuwendyk who was the Conn Smythe winner.

As much as I hate to say it Toronto has really improved their team, not sure if they will make the playoffs but they will be much better on defence and tougher to play against, just not sure who will score for them.
