Posted - 07/03/2006 : 13:17:46 Unfortunately, time just keeps on ticking. It would have been nice to watch Steve Yzerman play forever. I guess he called it quits today. 22 years in Detroit, tons of records, 3 stanley cups, and over 1700 points. What a champ!

Posted - 07/04/2006 : 07:46:22 Good call by Yzerman. Last season was a tough one for him but he really stepped it up at the end of the season. With his knee it would be difficult to play a full season. During his announcement he didn't seem quite ready to call it quits, but I guess he had no choice. |
