Posted - 12/01/2011 : 12:12:23 I've got Iggy and Heatley in a small straight-up points pool. Eberle is available, but we only have six trades to use for the whole year and I've already used two of them. Should I drop one of these guys for Eberle? I know Iggy usually takes a while to warm up but by seasons end he's generally among the league leaders.

Posted - 12/02/2011 : 05:14:37 I agree with Alex here.
At the end of the year, the difference will probably not be that great, and could easily turn into one you would regret. Eberle has not proven himself to be a hardy player yet, and with Iggy, you know what you get, and he will get better, it's nearly guaranteed.
Heatley is not that 50 goal guy anymore . . . he is a 60 point guy. His high end prediction is not in the same class as Iggy's or Eberle's, so I'd stay away from him as well.

Posted - 12/01/2011 : 19:30:26 I wouldn't do it. When you have limited trades, it's best to use them for injuries rather than slumps. Not to mention, the slow start isn't unusual for Iginla.
I also wouldn't be overly surprised to see Eberle cool off a little. In the end, he may very well outscore both these other guys, but not by enough to warrant a trade in my opinion. |

Posted - 12/01/2011 : 13:27:17 personally I'd take Eberle over either of these guys right now. Iggy is on the downside of his career playing with an increasingly weaker Calgary squad. and Heater hasn't done buppkiss since his hay days with Ottawa. he's currently on pace for 20G's and 60 pts. |

Posted - 12/01/2011 : 12:17:41 NO WAY! Heatley is an average 50 goal scorer and Iginla is the star of a team. For Eberle a sophmore who averages in my opinion 50 points a season
