i really want giroux and i cant figure out a trade that would be fair without trading stamkos the point system is you get the players points from the begining of the year, and you dont keep the players points you traded away |

Posted - 01/17/2012 : 17:15:42 I totally agree. You'd almost HAVE to include Stamkos in a deal for Giroux. The only other way i can see would be a 3 for 1 (Spezza, Selanne, Pominville for Giroux) which wouldn't be in your best interest. |

Posted - 01/16/2012 : 15:29:01 honestly, if you want Giroux, you're pretty much going to have to give up Stamkos, esp if its points from the beginning of the year.
And even then, if I held Giroux and you offered Stamkos straight up, I would not take it - so add in another component that makes it look like he's getting something more. Something like:
you give up: - Stamkos - Miller
you get back: - Giroux - Bryzgalov
Bryz would be a classic case of buying low, he's had a pretty meagre first half and is showing all kinds of inconsistency - Miller looks like the upgrade there. However, I think Bryz will get the lions share of starts in the second half, because he's in PHI to stay with that contract and recent play, and I do think he'll turn it around somewhat, so he has some upside. Good luck. |

and the only reason is, is because letang is gone for awhile. But i think benn is hurt aswell.
anyway that's a tuff trade to swing. you have to give to get. and just because you LIKE a player is not a very good reason to ever make a trade, it's all about pts... man.
